“What if I could show you a whole other world where stories aren’t just as you read them? A place where you can create your own adventures?”

Matilda doesn’t like stories. She’d rather be online. Until she discovers an abandoned room in the library, where she meets a curious librarian who shows her just how powerful her imagination can be…

Join Beyond the Book this World Book Day for the ultimate ‘build-your-own’ family adventure, where the children choose the stories they’d like to see!

Over the course of an hour, journey with our two characters into the pages of children’s books old and new, as they bring the wonderful world of reading to life with a little help from the audience along the way.

Accompanied by a series of family friendly activities around the theatre, there’s something for everyone this World Book Day:

-        Come dressed to watch the show as your favourite book character, and you could win our ‘World Book Day Best Dressed Competition’
-        Take part in an exciting book treasure hunt
-        Receive a free bookmark as a thank you for taking part
