DISABILITY ACCESS

We welcome people with disabilities and are committed to ensuring that your visit is easy, enjoyable and straightforward.

TRAVEL

By car – there are four disabled parking spaces available in the main Artrix car park.  These are located to the left of the car park as you enter it from the A38 (Bromsgrove Eastern bypass) route (adjacent to the HOW College signage)

BUILDING ACCESS

We have step-free access from the main entrance into the Foyer and level access into the ground floor of the auditorium.  There is lift access to 1st and 2nd floor seating.  Stairs from the Foyer to 1st and 2nd Floor have handrails (please note that the steps inside the auditorium from ground floor to 1st floor are wider and less steep than the stairs from the Foyer, and have handrails)

WHEELCHAIR SPACES

Wheelchair accessible toilets are on the ground floor and 2nd floor (via lift access).  Please note, there are no toilet facilities on the 1st floor.

A limited number of wheelchair spaces can be made available in the auditorium, as follows:

Ground floor – maxiumum of three spaces available for electric or manual wheelchairs

1st floor side gallery – maximum of two manual wheelchairs

If wheelchair access is required, or if you have mobility problems, please contact the Box Office to discuss your requirements - please make known any concerns or needs you have at the time of booking.  Staff will advise and assist you to obtain best available seats to ensure your visit is accessible and enjoyable.

 HARD OF HEARING

If you are hard of hearing, please note that the induction loop works best in the main auditorium – Rows A-P, seats 1-14.

RELAXED PERFORMANCES

Aimed specifically for those with special sensory needs i.e. Autism spectrum or Dementia, these performances will be indicated on the event information and can be booked only via the Box Office.  Please contact the Box Office for more details via email: boxoffice@artrixbromsgrove.co.uk

ASSISTANCE DOGS

Trained Assistance Dogs are welcome to accompany visitors to the venue.  Please advise Box Office when booking tickets of the requirements for appropriate seating, allowing sufficient room for the Assistance Dog.  Additional space is available on the side galleries, if appropriate.

If attending a live production with a hearing dog, please see advice from the Box Office regarding the content of the show e.g. doorbells, telephones or ‘trigger’ sounds which may affect dog’s behaviour.  Box Office will make enquiries on your behalf to the production co-ordinator.

STROBE LIGHTING

When performances contain strobe lighting, signs will be advertised on our booking platform and also placed in the Foyer near the main entrance door.  Please speak to a Volunteer Usher or Duty Manager who will obtain accurate details on your behalf.
